Whitelist emails refers to the activity whereby you add a sender to your approved senders list. This tells your email client that you know this sender and trust them, which will keep emails from this contact at the top of your inbox and out of the junk folder.
This is done to ensure you don’t have to search for the email for the whitelisted senders in your spam or junk folder
