Startup Website Design Australia
An Australian startup site has two audiences with opposite needs: a customer who wants to know what it does and what it costs, and an investor who wants to know the thing is real. Most sites pick one and lose the other. We build startup sites that convert the customer while standing up to diligence, on a domain licensed correctly and a privacy policy that exists before the waitlist does. We are a Malaysia-based team serving a global client base: English-first, priced in AUD, and on Australian working hours.

The Blockers Web Design Fixes for Australian Startups
A Domain On A Founder’s Name
The .au rules require an Australian Presence behind the licence, and a domain registered personally before incorporation becomes a transfer to explain during a raise. We put the licence on the trading entity at the start, when it costs nothing.
Pricing That Cannot Be Totalled
An onboarding fee outside the plan price, or a per-seat minimum disclosed at checkout, is exactly what the single price requirement targets, and it is also the reason a trial does not convert. We put the real annual number on the page.
A Waitlist Without A Policy
Collecting emails before a privacy policy exists means collecting on terms nobody wrote. The Australian Privacy Principles want an open and transparent approach, a collection notice and reasonable security, all of which are trivial before launch and awkward after.
One Message For Two Audiences
A homepage written to impress investors rarely tells a customer what the product does, and one written for customers gives an investor nothing to underwrite. We separate the paths rather than compromise a single page into serving neither.
No Evidence Anything Works
Early-stage sites substitute adjectives for proof. A named problem, a described mechanism and one honest number outperform three paragraphs of positioning, and they survive a diligence question.
The Raise That Reads You First
Do nothing and the site becomes the first artefact an investor reads, before the deck and before the call. A broken pricing page or a missing policy sets the tone for everything that follows.
How We Design Startup Websites in Australia

S+P — Scan & Pinpoint
We start with who has actually paid you and why, then check the domain licence against the trading entity, the pricing page against the single price requirement, and the collection points against the Australian Privacy Principles.

E — Execute & Optimize
Separate paths for customer and investor, a pricing page that totals honestly including onboarding and minimums, and a privacy policy and collection notice live before the first form ships.

F+L — Fund & Launch
We build the pages the current stage needs and leave the rest as structure. A pre-revenue startup does not need a resource library; it needs one page that makes the product legible and one that makes the price defensible.

U+X — Understand & Scale
We report signups and qualified conversations in AUD terms, and add pages as segments prove out. Nothing is built for a customer you have not met yet.
A compliance-first approach
Why Conversion Intelligence for Startup Website Design in Australia?
Australian startups announced $5.4 billion across 390 deals in 2025, a 31% increase year-on-year, making 2025 the third-largest funding year on record. Capital is available and it is concentrated: Sydney’s ecosystem alone is valued at $59.7 billion. The constraint on most Australian startups is not the market’s appetite, it is being legible enough to be underwritten.
New entrants keep arriving. In 2025-26 there was a 16.9% entry rate, with 460,461 entries of new businesses into the Australian economy. Most of them will present themselves with the same vocabulary. The site that says plainly what the product does, what it costs in total, and who it is not for, is doing something almost nobody else in that cohort is doing.

Three Things an Australian Startup Site Has to Get Right Early
A startup site is usually built before the company is fully formed, which is exactly when these three are cheapest to fix and most often skipped. Investors notice all three during diligence.
The domain has to sit on an entity with an Australian presence
Under the .au licensing rules, a person applying for a licence must have an Australian Presence, which is satisfied by categories including Australian citizenship or permanent residency, registration under the Corporations Act, an incorporated association, or an Australian Business Number. A foreign company must be registered under the Corporations Act to qualify, and an Australian trade mark supports a licence only for a domain name that is an exact match of the words in that application or registration. Founders who register the domain personally before incorporating are creating a transfer to unwind later, usually during a raise.
A privacy policy is a launch requirement, not a later task
The Australian Privacy Principles require an entity to manage personal information in an open and transparent way, including a clearly expressed and up to date privacy policy under Australian Privacy Principle 1, to tell an individual about certain matters when it collects their personal information under Australian Privacy Principle 5, and to take reasonable steps under Australian Privacy Principle 11 to protect what it holds from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. A waitlist form shipped before the policy exists is collecting on terms nobody has written down.
Pricing pages are advertising, and the total is the number
The total price of a service must be displayed as a single figure representing the minimum total cost, including taxes, duties and unavoidable or pre-selected extra fees, and where a component is shown the total must be at least as prominent. Onboarding fees, per-seat minimums and a plan that only makes sense annually are the three that most often sit outside the headline number on an Australian startup pricing page.

Startup Website Design Australia: Frequently Asked Questions
Should the domain be registered by a founder or the company?
The company, once it exists. The .au rules require an Australian Presence behind the licence, satisfied by things like Corporations Act registration or an Australian Business Number, and a personally held domain becomes a transfer you have to explain during diligence.
How much of our pricing has to be on the page?
The total, as a single figure, being the minimum a customer could pay including unavoidable or pre-selected fees. Onboarding charges and per-seat minimums belong inside that number, not at checkout, and showing a component more prominently than the total is the specific thing to avoid.
Do we need a privacy policy before launch?
If you are collecting anything, yes. The Australian Privacy Principles expect an open and transparent approach with a clearly expressed and current policy, a notice at the point of collection, and reasonable steps to secure what you hold. A waitlist is collection.
Can one site serve both customers and investors?
Yes, but not on one page. We give each a path from the homepage, because the customer needs to understand the product and the investor needs to understand the market and the mechanism. Merging them produces a page that convinces neither.
How much does a startup website cost in Australia?
From AUD 4,800 for a five-page startup site, based on Australian market rates less 20%. Pre-revenue teams are usually better served by the smaller build and a care plan than by a large site they will outgrow, and we will say so.
Do you work with Australian startups remotely?
Yes. We are a Malaysia-based team serving a global client base, English-first and priced in AUD, and we overlap the Australian working day so a change requested in the morning is live the same day.
